Volunteer firefighter in northern Germany for several years. On call at least every other day. Drove trucks, led squads, went into burning buildings under breathing apparatus. Accidents, fires that were nothing, fires that were not nothing, and people who didn't make it. That's the job.

I never once got a cat out of a tree. I have saved birds, and I have saved sheep. Northern Germany — we have more sheep than cats.

Created the first drone unit in the area, and built software for the incident command unit.
