The first thing I ever built.

A point-of-sale system for stadium vendors — the people walking the stands with beer and food. Before it, they calculated every price by hand. Under time pressure, with a crowd in front of them. That's stressful, it's slow, and it goes wrong.

The system was about trust and quality management — the vendor knows the number is right, and so does the person paying. On top of that it saved hours per event that had been going into mental arithmetic.
